Chhatra Rai (General Secretary of the British Gurkha Welfare Society) and Major (Retd) TD Dewan JP visited 10th Farnborough Scouts last Thursday evening.
They gave a very interesting presentation to the Scouts, explaining the history of the Gurkha Soldier, recounting stories of Gurkha bravery in many conflicts and explained the aims of the British Gurkha Welfare Society in Farnborough.

They were very interested to hear all about the recent camp that 10th Farnborough Scouts had been on and were very surprised to hear that the Scouts have cooked over open fires.  They have invited us to visit the centre at some point in the future so that they can show us some Nepalese cooking.

It would be great if you could put an article in the Farnborough News or the Courier about the visit.  I've attached the three group photos that were taken on the night.

Many thanks,
Clare Hills
